Playing with Watercolour

This past weekend saw me at a free style watercolour workshop. Even though I pretty much still suck at it I had the most enjoyable day. I am such a control freak!
We learnt lots of different techniques for background effects using salt and alcohol (no we didn't consume any lol)

We also tried a technique using clingwrap.....my first attempt was less than exciting but the poppy in my 2nd try was a bit better.
The wonderful Sandra Temple giving us encouragement and advice.

The days end......and all our hard work. Even though I wouldn't work this way I would definitely love to try and combine these techniques for background effects in combo with my coloured pencils.
I was lucky to have my mate Robyn do the workshop with me.....we had loads of laughs and giggles.
It does you a power of good to step outside your comfort zone but must make a confession.....COULD NOT WAIT to jump back into my coloured pencils....sssshhh!
My latest piece is a "secret" project for a friend....she doesn't read my blog so I am safe......

As well as critters I do love drawing roses.....kinda pleased with this one.
Roses are such amazing works of art....love them.
Namaste and Blessings Michelle xxx
